PATUM
PyBLØCK · DATUM · node-runner installer

Become a node-runner. One download, one run.

Your own node builds and publishes the block; the pool only dictates the split. You keep the miner share — up to 100%, paid straight in the coinbase. Non-custodial, always.

The networkWhen a block is found, its reward is paid in the coinbase, straight to the miners' addresses.
The PyBLØCK pool stays on the side: it counts each miner's work and tells your gateway how to split the reward. It never builds your block and never holds your coins.

Why run it?

Today a few big pools decide what goes into almost every block. With PATUM that decision moves to your node, and payouts land directly in the block itself — nobody holds your money in between. Every new node-runner makes the network harder to capture.

What do I need?

  • A computer that stays on — Windows, macOS or Linux.
  • About 15 GB of free disk (the node is pruned).
  • A normal internet connection — the first sync downloads the whole chain once (~870 GB of data; mind data caps).
  • A Bitcoin address for your payouts.

Do I need a miner?

Not to install. To earn, point hashrate at your gateway: your own ASICs, or rent hashrate and send it to your own gateway (option “Your DATUM gateway”). For rentals your gateway must stay online and reachable from the internet.

How long does it take?

Installing takes minutes. The first node sync takes from several hours to a couple of days, depending on your machine and connection; the wizard shows the progress. Already have a synced BLAKE2b node? PATUM uses it and skips the wait.

Is it safe?

Everything runs on your machine. PATUM uses its own data folder and never touches another Bitcoin node you may have. The code is open source (MIT) and builds bit-for-bit, so anyone can check it.

What does PyBLØCK get?

CHIRP and WAVICLES: 0%. CAROUSEL: 1%. PATUM itself is free. We run it pro bono: more independent nodes make the network stronger for everyone.

Pick your pool — a gateway ready to run

CHIRP

100% for the syndicate · 0% PyBLØCK

The syndicate: every eligible member paid by weight in one coinbase. Bring your own node, keep your tenure, no middleman cut.

CAROUSEL

99% you · 1% PyBLØCK

Your gateway, your block: whoever mines through it keeps 99% — no rotation, no supplier cut.

WAVICLES

100% to the work window · 0% PyBLØCK

The DATUM pool: your node builds the block, the work window is paid by share. The lowest fee for running your own node.

The installer finds a synced BLAKE2b node or sets one up for you (Bitcoin Knots, official & checksum-verified, pruned, in its own datadir — it never touches any other Bitcoin node). It then configures the DATUM gateway, registers you as a node-runner and tells you where to point your miner. Everything stays on your machine. Open source (MIT) — read every line, and it builds bit-for-bit: rebuild it yourself and check against SHA256SUMS (recipe in BUILD.md).
